How do you, as health professionals, feel about HIV treatments? I have done a little research into them and they seem to be more dangerous than beneficial. The statitics are there. No one seems to want you to see how well HIV patients are doing WITHOUT the drugs. Just with them. I was an Infectious Disease nurse at a County Jail...remaining nameless for privacy...and saw a lot more harm than good. What do you people think? I can elaborate if you wish. Just request it of me.

I agree with you... I think HIV meds should been given when natural remidies dont help... or the person has developed AIDS. I read some where that Selenium increases survival people with HIV upto 20 folds. I think when people find out they are HIV poz they shouldnt panic, I know its hard to calm down and not to panic, when you know there is something that is going to eventually kill you. I believe when people are newly diagnosed with HIV, they should start taking natural remidies ( protein shakes, vitamins, herbs, minirals ) stop smoking if they do, exercise ( yoga, bodybuilding )... If that doesnt help, than I guess all we could do is to put them on toxic medications like Combivir ( Zidovudine - Lamivudine ) I hope this helps, and people should understand that people with HIV shouldnt run off to Anti-HIV meds so suddenly !!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif
