Both of my arms are in splints right now - probable tendinitis dx. I have had a torn rotator cuff, major knee operations (dislocations, etc). I *do* live a very active life: I hike, split wood most days, do landscaping, snowshoe...yes, I have CFIDS (was diagnosed by one of the USA's leading CFIDS researchers. He - and my physical therapists just think I have unusually high coping abilities).
Anyway, have any of you heard that people with CFIDS have a physical abnormality in the muscle fibers that would make us more suspectable to orthopedic hassles? A sports medicine doc told me that once while I was recovering from a broken leg (broke the leg while hiking...that was *before* the arm I broke on a different hiking trip - sigh) Not that it matters to my current situation - I'm off "wood splitting detail" for about a week or so no matter what :jester:. But I'm curious if there's a good reason for these blasted splints (I've had them 3 hours now and already fed up with them).
