View Full Version : Eustachian tube blocked by debris, how to clear?

Hi,
to top the joy of an eardrum ruptured by an ear infection which now needs a myringoplasty *L* I have a bit of debris (looks like a big chunk of white grit) stuck in the aperture of my eustachian tube where it meets my throat (other ear). I can feel it with my tongue, and things like this have just popped out in the past. This time i think it is just too big to get out without assistance, its been there days and is adding to some other things which are sending me nuts... So the big question is does anyone know a safe, easy way of getting this thing out? The nearest doctors appointment I can get is 4 days from now. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif(

Some kind of forceps/tweezers might be the answer, but i don't want to poke anything I shouldn't or get more infections. Is anything likely to dissolve it? coke, whisky... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif)

Ian
