have had Ibs, fatigue, achy joints, high stress, and anxiety for yrs. but almost 2 yrs ago ended up with blurred vision on thigs close up, muscle spasms all over body( usually quick twitches) hands, arms, legs, fingers, eyelid, virtually eveywhere.and a feeling of imbalance, very mild pins and needle feelings in hands, feet, legs. symptoms finally subsided, also noticed sexual dysfunction about that time. now almost 2 yrs later just had bad head/chest cold as symptoms of this subsided the old ones came on blurred vision, muscle spasms, pins and needles and now pain when swallowing. really scared, done lots of ms research thats what i believe it is, saw neuro after first episode, took basic neuro exam, no mri. but they never diagnose ms if symptoms only experienced once. does this even seem like it could be fibromyalgia related?

Well I was diagnosed with fibro and told I might have MS but just found out last week I have chronic lyme disease. I can't tell you where or when I might have been bitten by a tick. The symptoms of all mimic each other, so there's lots to rule out.

I had similar symptoms - eye pain/blurred vision, aches/pains everywhere, fatigue, and pins and needles/numbness in appendages. I was dx with MS, but my LP and all 5 MRIs came back negative:(. This has happened over the past year. I still have doc who think it may be MS, but can't be dx. I have others who think it's another rheumatic disease, even though all my blood comes back normal. Due to the normal levels of everything in my body, a few docs have agreed they think it's fibro (maybe something else too) but definetly that one....

Goodluck and keep looking for answers. No matter what's causing all the problems, stressing about them just makes them worse - that is the one thing I've learned over the past year.

Did your symptoms subside and then the cold brought them back? Just trying to understand your cold comment.

Also, do you get sinus pain, or is it only in the eyes? Have you had your eyes examined? Could it be from sinuses?

I think a lot of us on here have been going thru what you are going thru.

i feel so bad for you, you sound like you have about had it with all this pain. first of all you need to see a rheumotologist, he will ck for fibro, also he will order an mri to see if you have ms. with ms there will be lesions on the brain to diagnose you. with fibro you will get a thorough exam to diagnosis that.
hope this helped.......bevann
