After I slammed my finger in the door, I went to the doctors office and he drained it. My problem is, that was four days ago. Should it still be draining? Each morning I wake up and it's blue, so I soak my thumb and the blood starts to come out of the drainage hole again. How long will this last?

It will last until the nail bed stops bleeding. You might try soaking it in cold water twice a day for a week, After soaking, dry as well as you can and then apply a drop of peroxide to help dry it out and prevent infection.

Ouch, I feel your pain, I also got my finger jammed, in a car door. I went to the Dr.'s & he didn't drain it.
No, once he drained it once at the office, then that should have been the end of it.
I strongly think you should go to the Doctors again & let him/her know what is going on.
