I'm not sure which forum this would belong in so if you could refer me that would be great.
Anyways, I havealways had pretty big knuckles, particularly my middle finger and index finger, and it has been pretty embarrassing. Lately however, I THINK they have been getting even more prominant. There is no pain at all, but when I make a fist my knuckles become white (which I'm assuming are the extensor tendons) and red. When I make a fist it also seems like the tendon of each finger spreads apart a little bit on the back of y hand, creating a little space which turns red (or even purple).
I've had a few comments within the past few weeks from people about my knuckles which to me means it is more noticable.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Some Dude,
My hands do the same thing, so either were both weird, or its normal??..LOL
Have you recently lost a significant amount of weight(possibly making it more noticable), Or "weather" being cold can cause color changes in your hands. I do have Raynauds disease involving my fingers and toes, and have had color changes in the last few years due to that. My finger joints are also big, but dont have pain in them, just big knuckles. I do have arthritis BUT not in my fingers, mainly in my wrists and hips, shoulers, the larger joints. Is the skin over your knuckles "THICK"?
Sounds like IF you have NO pain involved, and seem to be getting good blood flow, I wouldnt worry too much, BUt of course, if they CONTINUE to GROW, thats worth getting it looked at by a doctor.
Sorry I couldnt be of any help, but wanted to let you know you were'nt alone.
Good luck in finding answers,
God bless,
Annette
