I have been diagnosed last year with fibro - I tried lyrica (horrible) my new doctor (rhymatologis) put me on 10mg of flex 3 x a day - restoril 7.5 at night - he mentioned when i saw him he wanted to give me lidocaine injections in my neck - that scared me to death as I had a cortizone injection in my shoulder once and besides how painful i had an allergic reaction from it - I hurt all over as the weather here has been horrible - i feel like a got run over by a truck - i am dead tired all day long (the sleeping pill is working (ambien, lunest never worked for me) even though i am now sleeping. He did not give me anything for pain (which i do need) - I am now considering the injection - i know it will not help my entire body just neck area -- has anyone had these injection? How painful are they? I also take effexor 75mg for menapausal symptoms (I am 41 and had a complete hysterectomy due to endo and can not take hormone replacement) I also take Magnesium and calcuim - any suggestions

My neuro has given me the same injections at the base of my skull to help with pain. It's not pleasant, but it really works.
