ted1939 02-15-2008, 12:27 AM how to lower creatine levels Coravh 02-15-2008, 08:53 AM Interesting, this identical question was asked a while ago. Same spelling too. Anyway, here's my answer again. Creatinine is simply a marker of how well your kidneys are functioning. It is a by-product of muscle metabolism, so if you have a lot of muscle and/or exercise a lot, you will have a higher creatinine level. Obviously you don't want to decrease either your amount of exercise or your muscle mass. There really isn't anything you can do, and creatinine isn't a critical substance like potassium, or phosphorus (which can cause some severe problems in the short or long term). So there really isn't any significant need to lower it. You just want your kidney function to be monitored and you want to take care of yourself the best you can. Do dialysis can help lower creatinine? is thier any alternative medicine? thanks ruth |
