If they are really bad, I highly suggest you have them removed by a podiatrist. It is painful enough when they do it - I don't think you would want to do it yourself.

Although you might have found the answer by now by looking around, I usually treat this by stuffing cotton under the corner of the toenail so that it doesn't grow in further. Good luck
