Do you all have a issue from sitting to standing? Not sitting at your desk per se but sitting on the ground (if you dare). With my little boy I have to do this often. When I go to stand OMG I can hardly walk for a few minutes. And it doesn't matter what leg. Sometimes it is the knee and sometimes it is the shin. I hobble if I have to walk and then it warms up and I am ok. I asked the Rhuemy about this and he of course said "i get that too when I stand". What a dork it isn't that kind of pain and I doubt he gets it. it isn't like a muscle ache or that I have arthritis in my joints. And it doesn't hurt any other time. Or when I am sitting passengering for a long drive. That really hurts my knees. I never had this issue up until months ago when my elbows flared up and all this started.

I totally understand. Sometimes I have to hobble around a minute, then it's fine. Mine is in my knee when it happens. I've had this for quite a while-way before other sx's. I have noticed that while I sit I make sure I move my legs often. Just putting them in a different postition will help.

It's not just you! I get that too and will do anything not to get on the floor. It's not the same as just having a bit of stiffness. Once at work, a cable came loose on my computer and I had to get down to fix it. Good thing no one had come in yet because I sat and moaned and rubbed my knees. I could feel that my face was flushed as well. If anyone had seen me, they would have thought I was having a heart attack.
The last time I flew overseas, I thought I would jump out of my skin. I didn't care what anyone thought, I kept walking up and down the aisles, trying to get the pain to go away. While driving, if you can, lay the seat all the way back or sit in the back seat with your legs propped up. Otherwise, make frequent stops and get out and walk around a bit. I always carry a sports cream too. I go into a bathroom and rub it on my muscles and joints. It seems to help a bit.
I now take Osteo Biflex and this seems to be helping as well. I don't have as much joint pain as I used to.

Thanks last night I was sitting down on the floor and when I went to get up it really hurt bad. I couldn't move. My ankles and knees were locked and sharp pains. Finally after a bit and I walked like a bull legged bronc rider my legs loosened up.
I am flying for about 3 hours next month. I am short luckily so my legs do get to stretch more then others.f I will have to get up and walk much more then I used to

I have this too. Today, I have it bad. Usually it is in the morning for about an hour, and then come around 4 or 5 p.m. after I have taken care of my 2 and 4 year old boys, I am so sore and try to be done for the day. Today, though, it is all day. My hands and feet were so swollen today, and right now, I am sitting on the couch with my feet propped up. I have been sore all day when I get up and move. I have days that I feel my age, 31, and then today I feel 81. Also, I have been extremely tired. I almost cancelled my plans because I was too tired. I grabbed a large cup of coffee and made it through the afternoon. One year ago I would have never thought I would of have been in so much pain today, and having it be a day to day battle. Good luck, all. Kass
