Let me start by saying I am not sure if my daughter has a kidney problem or what is wrong. Two weeks ago, she was in bed for two days complaining of abdominal pain and back pain. On the third day, she said she was better. Her appetite was normal and there was no nausea or vomitting. For the past two weeks, she has had daily abdominal and back pain but not enough to stop her normal activities. It has worsened again and she has been in bed for 2 days now with more abdominal and back pain. This morning she was walking in a room and she said she all the sudden only saw black and she fell down busting her lip open. She did not pass out (I was there). She just couldn't see for a second. It really scarred her and me. She is eating fine. She is more tired than usual. I took her to the doctor this morning and they said she had blood in her urine but not enough to where the dr. would assume that was the problem. They tested her blood sugar and it was 67. She had eaten breakfast a few hours before. The dr. ordered lots of blood work and my daughter almost passed out during it. She has been dizzy also. She ordered a cbc w/ diff and plt, comp metabolic panel, amylase, sed rate westergren, aso titer w/ complement c3 and c4, and a streptozyme. I am not patiently waiting, I am freaking out. Any ideas of what this could be? She is an 11 year old female with no health conditions/problems, very physically active (until this), normal weight and height (85 lbs. 4'8). Any input would be apprieciated. The doctor only said that she was concerned about kidney involvement but made no diagnosis. TIA

hi there,
have they said anythin about kidney stones (renal colic). ive had that, and its caused me severe pain. radiating from lower back round to front. was mild for a couple of weeks, then i was in sheer agony. had to go to hospital. not pleasant. but just another thought for you, you could ask if this could be the cause.

hope all goes well.
