I had carpel tunnel surgery about 9 years ago but all of the symptoms seem to be returning but they are twice as bad now. has anyone ever had this to happen to them.

just an FYI here for you.the very same symptoms you felt from what was a carpal tunnel problem can also be the exact same type when the nerve(i believe it is the median?) is actually affected but up in the c spine area.this could also be some level of problem in the carpal tunnel from things like scar tissue which just kind of comes with the territory sometimes too.either way you do need to have your symptoms evaluated to find out just where that nerve is being compromised at.are you having any neck pain or problems up there at all?you do need to see your doc and have this much more deeply looked into.there are tests thay can do that can pinpoint at what level the nerve is being affected at.just what are your exact symptoms at this point? I do have two buldging disc but I never thought it would make my hand and forarm stay numb and have so much pain. It feels like carpel tunnel just two times worse.

I agree you need to have this evaluated. I have also heard of carpal tunnel coming back. I had the surgery 26 yrs. ago and I'm beginning to get some of the symptoms again also. I've heard it can happen. The only way to know for sure is to go to your hand surgeon and be re-evaluated. Good luck!

if you are actually having any level of constant numbness this really does need evaluation much sooner vs later.this indicates a definite compression or heavy affectation of a nerve, somewhere from where it starts in your c spine and on down thru the wrist area.like i mentioned above, there are tests they can do,you probably already had the EMG done at some point before?just what level is the bulged disc at in your c spine, and how severe is it?have you actually had an MRI done of your c spine at some point?how long ago was it done if you had it?what exact symptoms are you having right now and where exactly are they?FB
