No one on here can tell you whats wrong without just guessing. You really would need to find out from Dr. Do you take fish oil pills? i read that fish oil pills are good for every problem in the body (muscle, inflamation.) I have those problems with the MD I have and fish oil and curcumin extract helps me out big time. But you need to find out whats wrong before you do or try things.

hi courtney, first of all a good start would be to look at your family history. does your mother/father have arthritis, does rheumatoid arthritis run in your family. did you experience a car accident or injury of some sort to the back or neck area - potentially causing disc problems in your spine. this can cause a lot of problems in the neck and back areas - also affecting strength in the arms and hands. have you been tested for things like MS, mono, lupus, lyme (i only say that because i have lyme)m chronic fatigue, etc. are you stressed, anxious or depressed about anything (other than how you are feeling about your health). are there issues in your life upsetting you? what you need to do is get a family history of what runs in your family, think about how you have been feeling - about stressors of life, and the other things i listed above. just try and give yourself an overall self assessment in different areas. write it down, bring it to the doctor. many things can cause your symptoms - unfortunately they are very vague like most of ours - and it takes time and effort to get down to the bottom of it. you can start by having blood work to rule out things they can test for in your blood. next you can have xrays of your neck/spine and if it is severe an MRI of your neck depending who you see - MRI/MRA of head could rule out a lot also.

hope that helps a little

danielle
