Hey all,
I am new to the group and I have a question. I have been having a feeling of water in the ear for 3 weeks now. It is like the type of feeling that happens after taking a shower or in the pool and goes away after time or by shaking your head. This feeling has been happening when I move quickly or open my mouth wide. Sometimes it could bother me all day and a few times it went away for a few days. The pain in my ear is very slight and I would not notice it, if it were not for the sound/feeling of water in the ear.
Any ideas what it is? Also any ideas of what I could do about it (over the counter stuff)?
Thanks,
Mike

Fluid in the ear needs to be evaluated by the doc. See the doc and get this checked out before it turns into something more serious.

Hi Mike. I've got water-in-my-ear feeling in one ear but it's much worse in the morning when I get up. I've had it for a couple of weeks and my doctor says it's catarrh and will go away. Reading the message board here though, I think that's not likely. I have done the ear-drop wax removing thing with Otex but maybe I need a proper syringing job done. I'll give it another couple of weeks and then go back if I still have deaf gloopy ear feeling.

Its been three weeks since I posted here, and my ear has been fine for at least two weeks. I think that it was algergies because one day I woke up and it stopped bothering me but instead I got my regular algery symtoms (ie running nose, eachy eye, sneezing every five minutes). I did take some sinus and head conjestion over the counter stuff for a few days before it stopped. I just thaught I would give all an update to whoever that cared.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Mike - just wish I could take Sudafed. Take BP medicine and this raises your blood pressure. Does anyone know of anything like Sudafed that is indicated for people who take BP medicine? Glad your'e better.
