2 days ago I used a wax removal system similiar to a Debrox item. After finishing the flushing, I went to bed and laid my head on the opposite side of the cleaning. Everything was fine when I went to bed but when I woke up the next morning, I felt like my hearing was blocked. I am wondering if it is possible some wax had fallen off from being loosened and completly plugged my ear. It has been 2+ days now and I have been repeating the Debrox twice a day with no avail. Any suggestions ?

You need to see the doc and get checked out. You may have pushed the wax in farther during the home flushing or you may have ruptured your eardrum. You might also have fluid in your ears too. Unless you have a problem with excess ear wax in your ear canal there is no need to use a flushing kit since ear wax is there to help keep dirt and debrie out of the ear canal and ear wax comes out on it's own. I would have a doc flush your ears if you feel it is necessary since they have an otoscope so they can check before the flushing to be sure it needs to be done and they can check afterwards to be sure they got enough of the hardened wax out without causing any ear problems. I do flush my sons ears on occaision if needed but I am a nurse and always check his ears before and after the flushing to be sure no damage is done.

Have a doctor check your ears. Even though they sell all that stuff over the counter, I'd rather have a doctor check it out. My friend goes to a doctor every couple of years to have her ears flushed out.

Oftentimes when you have a large wax buildup there's only a teeny hole in the middle to hear through. Then the smallest drop of liquid can complete the seal and cause a large hearing loss.
Too bad that often it's the very liquid that's supposed to do the cleaning.
If I were you, I'd put one more dose of the carbamide peroxide (Debrox, Murine) in and wait a half hour or so and rinse with tepid water with the syringe that comes with the kit. Then take a nap with the clogged ear down.
If that doesn't work, have a doctor clean it out. An ENT is best, lots of GP's just DON'T seem to get it right (God know's why, it's not Rocket Science....but they don't)

I agree with the other replies you've received...go see a doctor and have him remove the wax with an otoscope. It only takes a few minutes and shouldn't hurt unless it's really packed in there. I have excessive wax buildup and need to have it done more than once a yar. Good Luck.
