I got home from work last night and noticed that my feet were swollen. This is the first time this has happened to me, so I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. I didn't eat anything salty and I sat at my desk most of the day. I'm in my 20's and I thought that was something that happens when you get older (my grandmother's feet would swell). Is this related to Fibr? I just increased my Lyrica dosage to 150mg a day...could this have something to do with it?

Sherryrenee, I woke up with the same thing this morning. My hands, in the morning, lately have been so swollen and painful. Then this morning, my feet are swollen. I want to know too. My feet have never been swollen before. I did not eat anything salty yesterday. I am not on lyrica, and am being tested for rheumatoid arthritis. My doctor is not sure why I have so much body pain, sometimes it is extreme. I might have fibromyalgia, but all of my trigger points are on my upper body. So I would love any help I can get. I am sorry you have this, but glad I am not alone.

I suspect you gals are both going through an FMS flare-up on your feet. What happens is in FMSers, water is sent into cells because of the unwelcome presence of a slight excess lf phospates, calcium, and other stuff such as sodium and chloride. Our bodies dispatch water to these areas in an attempt to dilute these ions and keep them from cystallizine into the cells. Keep your feet up if you can!
Blessings,
Kirstee
