I am a kickboxer who also does alot of running but just recently i am stuggling to do all the above,it hurts when walking, running and standing on my right leg alone but it does not hurt when bending or twisting like i would imagine back ache to feel like.
It also hurts when in bed and i wake up feeling stiff..
what do you think it is and what should i do?i really enjoy my kickboxing and feel deeply angered that i find it hard to participate in what i love doing most.. thanks for your help lisa x

Hello,

I have had similar symptoms....finding it hard to stand on my right leg...come to find out I had a herniated disc in the lumbar portion of my spine...and DDD on top of that.

Have you seen a doctor yet? If not I would definitely suggest doing so. Waking up stiff is sertainly not a good sign. Do you have any pains down the legs...etc? Is it hard to put on your clothes/shoes in the morning? In many situations the severe pain of a spinal injury does not set in until months or even years later.

I wish you all the best:angel:
