My son is nearly 7 years old, he is waiting to have ear grommets fitted and I mentioned to the consultant that he suffers from sleep apnea (in my opinion very bad sleep apnea as he spends more time trying to breathe than he does breathing!) but the doctor didn't seem concerned about this, in fact he kind of ignored me when I told him!?!? My son is slighty overweight due to that fact that we now ride bikes to school instead of walking ( I am going to start walking him to school again now the weather is nicer) I have noticed that when my son plays games were he runs about he gets very red in the face after only a few minutes!
Call me paranoid but I'm a Mum and worrying is what we do best when it comes to our kids lol but I have another older son and I never worried about anything like this with him.
Thanks for reading :-)

Hi Margy,
I have a daughter with a heart problem. I think anytime you are concerned you should talk to a doctor. Mother's often have a sixth sense about things. Here are some things for you to look for. A blue tinge to the face of the lips, swelling in the eyelids, feet, hands etc. complaining of a fluttery feeling in his chest. If you see any of those things get to the doctor and insist on an echo. Good luck. Michelle
