View Full Version : Should I be checked?

Heart problems run in my family. My dad and brother had valve replacements as well as murmur and my niece has a murmur. For about 3 years, I've had some palpatations (never sought treatment for), but they were very mild and would only come once every 3 mths. While pg last year they came almost everyday towards the end of my pg, which I contributed to my heart having to work harder to support both of us. Since Oct when baby was born, I'm having episodes 1-2 x a week. I've never thought of them as severe until this past Sunday. Sunday night I had 4-5 back to back, all within 1 minute. It was like my heart forgot how to beat is the best way to describe it.

I've been under tremendous stress lately and I've been hoping maybe it's just that. Sunday was actually the 4 year anniversary of my daughter's death. On top of that my husband's ex is causing problems, his job is causing minor marital problems and my job is just a problem in general. I guess I should also add that I've been on and off both Rx and over the counter diet pills since 1997. Never took Phen Phen or Redux, but did take Dydrex, Metabolife, Metabolite, Max Ten, Dexatrim, Fastins, I think that's all of them.

Should I get this checked out?

Thanks

You really need to be checked, fastin is listed as a cause of damage to the heart. I've been researching for a long time for my husband (redux) and my daughter(profast).Wish you luck and le us know. Lupine
