hi,
i few years ago i had an accident at work, my left thumb got cought in a linishing machine at work, my thumb nailwas sanded right down into my flesh almost showing bone. Ive never had pain like that in my life now a few years later im still getting pains in my thumb even more so when its cold, it also feels numb. Is this normal? should i see my gp?

It would be numb because the nerves were sanded away and yes, you would still feel some pain since there is very little skin left to protect the underlying fingertip bone.
