Sorry I haven't written lately. As for an update, my genotype is 2b, so I guess that is pretty good. Had my liver biopsy and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. If anyone has any questions please let me know. I don't have the physical print-out of my report but I spoke with the nurse pract. and she informed that the the biopsy determined "mild liver inflamation w/ no signs of fibrosis". So, I guess it is good that I don't have any signs of fibrosis, but what about the inflamation. Any ideas? Does alcohol cause this? How about certain foods? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I am still a little nervous.

its not always caused by alcohol.(although it could be)being overweight and your diet could cause it was well.
hey smp,ask for a copy of your blood test and see what is high."alt" is usually fat related and "ast" alcohol is alcohol related.at least from what i understand.

As suprising as it may sound, my ALT and AST are normal. I do drink in moderation and I am of normal body weight.
