Patient Report- ENG
The Gans SOP(Sensory Orginization Performance) and DMV(Dynamic Visual Acuity) test were WNL but (x) did turn leftword during the Fukuda stepping tests.Fukuda stepping tests and DVA tests were difficult for the patient to perform.
Horizontal saccadic accuracy and leftward eye movement peak velocity were wnl, however, rightward peak velocity test results were mildly abnormal at faster speeds. Horrizontal tracking results were abnormal, ie, poor waveform morphology.
Optokinetic test results were normal and symmetrical.
Positional test results were also normal. Dix-Hallpike and head hanging testing were not performed due to the patients positive vertebral artery test to the left side.
Alternate bithermal caloric stimulation resulted in a 14% right ear weakness and a 6% left beating directional preponderance.
*The abnormal saccadic and tracking results infer inner ear pathology and the 14% right ear weakness may also infer a resolving peripheral lesion.
Head MRI(no contrast) normal..
is there anything that can be done? PT (and meds)aren't doing anything,I'm dizzy most of the time.
