Jojo,

I don't have any experience with IVF, but I know that you'll be able to get the help you need here. I just want to wish you all the best for your upcoming cycle and I hope that it is all that you will need to achieve your BFP.

Love,
Kelley

Oh Jojo, I'm sorry, I have absolutely no experience with IVF or IUI. I just wanted to send you a cyber ((hug)) because I can appreciate how emotional this is for you. But I just wanted to say that I am glad that you got your period... that's one thing that won't delay your cycling :) Have you called your doctor to let them know you had a period starting Feb 20?
I'm wishing you lots of luck and hoping you get that BFP really soon.

Hi Jojo,

I'm sorry you are dealing w/ IF. I hope you get your bfp soon. I'm in the middle of my 2nd IVF, so maybe I can answer some of your questions. It's hard to say when your transfer will be just going from when you got your period because some dr's will place you on bcp to adjust your cycle so it fits their schedule. The bcp also helps quiet things down & should take care of any possible cysts, so it's good for more than just changing the timing. I can say though, than an IVF cycle is quite a bit longer than an IUI cycle because you get a period in between. Usually, you will start lupron injections around day 21 of your cycle. Then you will get a period & go in for a baseline u/s on CD 3. You will start the stimulation injections a few days after that. Then come all the monitoring appts where you will be at your dr's office every other day. Depending on how fast your follicles grow, your egg retrieval & embryo transfer will probably take place about 2 weeks after the baseline u/s.

The key is to just take it a day at a time. There are a lot of appts & a ton of medicine to take, but you CAN do it. And hopefully, it will work your first time. Many women get pg their first IVF. Unfortunately, there's just no guarantee. I've found the best approach is to remain optimistic & hopeful, but keep in mind that you may need to do it more than once.

I hope that helped. Feel free to ask any other questions. There are lots of us who have gone through IVF & would be happy to help you through this.

Good luck!!!

Holly
