Hi John,

You should start seeing some effects within hours after taking your medication. Full therapeutic effects might not be seen for weeks in some cases, depending on many factors. Each medication is different. Expect to have to wait at least a week to see maximum benefits of your medications. Several weeks would be preferrable-depending on the problem, of course. Has your doctor's office booked a follow-up appointment to assess how well the meds are working?
Some of the many factors that play a role in how well the body metabolizes the drugs are our age, any renal or liver function impairment (which slows down metabolism) and the dosage and types of medications. Good luck with your treatment! :)
