I was Diagnosed w/Bell's Palsy one month ago. Two weeks ago I started having severe intermittent pins & needles in my r/arm. This is NOT just when sleeping, sometimes it lasts for 20 minutes sometimes off/on ALL Day. My arm feels weak after awhile of this but I still have good range of motion. I am Type @ diabetic, but my glucose is WELL controlled. My Dr says there is NO evidence that B vitms would be helpfull...I keep ready about how B vitamins support nerve health. Does this sound like MS ? What test should I ask my Dr to do ? Should I supplement w/B vitamins and if so any recommendations on Brand..type...etc.?

My brother's mother-in-law had a condition of tingling in her feet that was due to poor circulation. It progressed, due to age (74), that she had to amputate both feet when circulatory surgery failed.

As you are a diabetic, it is important that whatever you choose to supplement, that your doctor is made aware of it. Simple tingling, especially in light of your diabetic condition, needs to be looked at closely. I would say to see your doctor first and have him arrange a referral with a neurologist if he believes there is a neurological reason for your symptoms.

At this stage, it is still too early to stress yourself out.

Terry, I'm a little confused by your doctor saying "no evidence". Have you been checked for B12 deficiency? The urine MMA test is reportedly more accurate than a blood test. The sort of sx you're describing can certainly be found in MS, but not in MS alone -- I wouldn't jump to any conclusions at this point but if does not subside and these sx are not attributable to your diabetes or a vitamin deficiency, I would try to see a neurologist.
