I recently went on medicare. I researched policies that go along with medicare. I thought I had found a great company and actually they offered great benefits. the problem was that they told me that my Dr. of 20+ years was in their network, I signed the papers and, I went to dr and was not covered.. when I got my card there was a totally different Dr. name listed as my primary dr. I called the rep, he never called me back, I called the CS dept and all they could say was that I needed to get my Dr. to enroll. I talked with my dr and he was willing to do whatever it took to be able to keep seeing me ( as I have many health issues) after 3 months of the dr's office calling writing , faxing the ins. company. I called I was told that they could not talk to me they had to talk to the Dr.'ss office. I tried to explain that we had been doing that and getting no response. I was told again they could not talk to me.. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they were the manager, I asked to speak with their boss and was told that they were the boss. I began to get angry and said that I wanted to talk to anyone but them. There had to be someone above them, and was then hung up on. I have since discontinued that policy and have found one that takes my dr. It costs a little more at the pharmacy, but worth it. So beware of WELLCARE.. if you have no cares about your dr. great plan but CS is horrible, and you can never get answers, that actually help.
Just wanted to let you all know insurance is a tough thing to deal with without the extra headaches I dealt with with this company.
