I don't know if any of you have heard this story, but I came across it on the internet yesterday. A 16 year old girl from Argentina just had triplets for the second time. She had a son at age 14, triplet girls at 15, and triplet girls at 16 again. She lives with her parents who received land and a new house from the government when she had her first set of triplets, and her parents are going to seek more government money since the new babies were born. It's sparking a debate in Argentina because the people think she needs to learn more about contraception, especially from her parents.

I think this is just crazy and what is wrong with those parents allowing her to keep having children!!! Doesn't it make you guys sick knowing that we're all dealing with (or have dealt with) IF for so long, and this child can get pregnant so easily with multiples? Oh, and she didn't use any fertility medications either. Just thought I'd share this story.

You really would think that this girl would have gotten a big lesson in contraception/safe sex after the first set of babies were born. And I understand needing assistance in some regards, but why would the parents be against her having more children if they got a new house and land and everything else out of the ordeal. I'm sure they're not even thinking twice about it. Life really isn't fair (for most of us), is it?

That is shocking that the parents can allow their daughter to have so many children at such a young age. Have they not heard of BCP's. Life is just not fair. If only getting pg was so easy. :(.

How are you and the twins doing?

You guys are so right, life is not fair!!

Charlene: I'm doing really well. The m/s comes a lot less now. I had a really detailed u/s last week at 16 weeks, and the perinatologist said that everything looks great with the twins and my cervix looks good. DH and DS came with to the u/s, but DS got a little bored. Anyway, I found out they have anterior placentas, so it will take longer before I can feel the twins move, although I already felt one of them move a couple weeks ago, but haven't really since. They were really moving around during the u/s - must've been all the pushing and poking going on. Thanks for asking how we're doing. I see that you should hopefully be getting some good news soon. Good luck!
