Hi
I too have pcos for the last 10 years .It is for life but you can manage its symptoms . I am also trying to get pregnant for the last 3 years ,tried 6 rounds of iui with clomid but no use. Then tried 1 ivf cycle ,it failed . i am heading toward 2nd ivf cycle in May .
If you are overweight try reducing the weight and avoid carbs.Exercise daily for half an hour .

Hi:
There are many levels of PCOS and lately it seems there are more and more cases of this than ever. When I was diagnosed, almost 20 years ago, it took almost 2 years and a zillion visits to different specialists, to finally figure it out. There is hope. I know how frustrating it is to be told to lose weight when you have a condition where one of the symptoms is the inability to lose weight!
They are correct about the weight loss though. It wasn't 'till I finally lost 25 pounds that things started changing for me. Do you have a regular OB/GYN? If not, you might want to ask friends for a recommendation and make an appointment. He/She should be able to give you some much needed answers to what PCOS is and what can be done to help. Women with this condition get pregnant all the time. I did!
Some OB/GYN offices even have a nutritionist on staff to help you work out a weight loss program that is tailored just for you.
I hope this helps and Good Luck. Don't give up hope! cmpgirl
