I have to say, yet again, that you all are so amazing. It really was so touching to log on this morning and to see all of your posts. You are the best!

U/S went very well today, despite Dr. Gas (but I won't let him get to me today -- the entire appointment he didn't turn the screen towards me). 2 sacs were found (yikes!), and so far everything looks okay. Will hear about my beta number this afternoon.

Of course I want everything to work out well for me, and I'm still being cautiously optimistic. But, for now, my big wish is for ALL of us to be posting great news. You have all been so super supportive of me, and I don't know how I would have made it this far without you. I wish I could be even a fraction supportive of how much you all have been to me.

Oh my goodness Kelley twins!!!!! That's AMAZING!! I had a feeling :D Have you told DH? I can't wait to hear his reaction. Maybe this whole basement thing is a blessing in diguise....you can redo it as a play area....with twins you'll need it! Reemmber to take it easy and always remember, you are so supportive. You really are, I knwo I can speak for all of us when I say how precious and important you are to all of us. :angel:

I know you want to be cautiously optimisitc especially before your personal hurdle of 7 weeks and the traditional hurdle of 12 weeks. And I understand that, I do. (Well to an extent, since I've never had a m/c) But, I don't want you to miss out on the early weeks on pregnancy trying rein your excitement. I mean 40 weeks (or 37ish since twins, right?) sounds long, but every pg woman I have spoken to abotu this subject says that the time just flies by. And I want you to enjoy your whole pregnancy, you so deserve it. I'm sorry if I've said something rude or something...and I really do relaize that I've never had a m/c before, so I can't quite relate. I just want you to enjoy every moment of your double miracle.

Thank you so much, to all of you. And Princess, please don't ever think you've said something rude -- I don't think that would be possible coming from you (unless the person deserved it).

Actually, DH came with me this morning and the nurse was laughing at him because he was scrutinizing the screen while Dr. Gass was looking at it. I swore I was in trouble because all I could see was (1) Dr. Gas squinting at the screen and making faces (maybe had gas again) and (2) DH moving left to right trying to see the screen. Dr. Gas must have looked at the screen for a full minute - luckily the nurse gave me a thumbs up from behind him while he wasn't looking at her, or I'd have no clue what was going on. So for now, it's 5.5 weeks, and I'll go back once a week for the next 3 weeks.

Right now, I am just praying for BFPs for everyone, and thinking lots of positive vibes because what I want more than anything is for everyone to be celebrating. I will keep you all posted definitlely, but I really want to be posting now for all of you. You all are the best, and I love you all.

I am so sorry to be posting this late, but i wanted to say congratulations on the twins! It is very exciting after dealing with IF to get 2 miracles. If you ever have any multiple-specific questions come find me on the pregnancy boards (we have a Mommies of Multiples thread) and we'll chat. It is definitely different than a singleton pregnancy but you will love every minute of it. I am still sometimes in shock that it is happening to me. Best of luck to you.

I'm kind of having a bad day...just in general. DH and I we got into a heated discussion last night over something really stupid, I mean, we were fine in ten minutes, but the feeling is still nagging me abotu why it started in the first place. See, we've always said we'd name our DD Lana....it's a pretty name (we think, anyway) and easy to write and spell and kids won't make fun. And, it's the only name we could agree on. But last night he decided that he wants to name her after his mother, who has a weird and far out name that I don't even like. He says it's tradition, but I don't care. I love MIL, but I hate her name, I never call her it, I just call her "Mama". And I feel like he's being really selfish.
It's REALLY silly of me, considering I'm not even pg yet! And even if I was, I probably woudn't even know what it is for awhile, and there is still lots of time before that happens. If anyhting I'll thinki up a cute nickname everyone can call her. Maybe I'm PMSing, and that's why I'm so cranky abotu this whole thing.
Anyway, I hope your day continues to flow smoothly! :D

I am sorry :(. I don't think it's strange at all to be talking about names already. And I'm sorry that you and DH had this disagreement. This may not be a good suggestion, but would it be at all possible to use his mother's name (or maybe a derivation of it) as a middle name? I know some names don't go well together, so that may not be a good idea, but a thought. It's a really touchy subject, I know, and the stress of all of this doesn't make bringing up such topics any easier.

That's actually not a bad idea... I don't think MIL's name would work as a middle name, but maybe Lana can be a middle name and if she doesn't like MIL's name as her first name then she can use Lana. It was really touchy for me, because that's one of my ways of keeping hope going for me. A way to think positive. Which is probably why I got stuck in a rut. But it's getting better now. If anyhting, I probably won't care once I have my little one....and I could definitely have a little boy! Problem solved LOL. :D Thank you so much for the suggestion! And that's why you're going to be such an amazing mother in just about eight or so months!!!!! :bouncing: :D

Princess - The whole name thing can be a tough one! DH and I took in a rescued puppy this weekend, and still can't even agree on a name for her! So can you imagine for a child, lol? But you're right - there you go, you could have a boy, and then that wouldn't be an issue :). But, Lana is a beautiful name!

Mapia - I know you've been through a lot this week, so don't worry about checking in. I think about you every day, and I know we're all in your thoughts always too. My next appointment is tomorrow morning, so we'll see how it goes. How are you feeling today?

Princess - I'm doing okay. M/s kicked in this weekend. More like all-day sickness. It just comes on really strong out of the blue and is gone. I'm not complaining one bit - it's just going to make work a bit tough. I'll be working 5-6 days/week straight through. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be taking leave afterwards either - as much as I'd love to, as it's not really possible to have someone take my place. So, it'll be a bit crazy!

Char - I'm happy to hear you're taking it easy! I can't wait to hear about your numbers and your scan!!

I'm sorry that you are suffering from m/s. Even though you know it is a good sign I'm sure it isn't any fun. They say that ginger can help with m/s....... maybe try having some ginger cookies and a cup of tea when you feel the nausea coming on.

I will definately try to not overdo it! It's tough right now because no one knows, and I want to keep it that way for as much as I can. I started having really severe cramps in my left side this afternoon - where I imagine my ovary would be. I could barely walk. I have no idea what that could be from, so I'm glad I have an appointment tomorrow. I can't walk down the stairs in the house tonight - it kills. Weird, huh?

I know that all of you are thinking of me, and I am so thankful for each of you. I really would not have gotten this far without you all. But, rather than talking about me, I really do wish more than anything for all of you to have BFPs to report really really soon. I swear I think of you all every single day and pray every night.

You all really are so amazing. It made me feel so good to see all of your posts this morning. The guy that I work with is on vacation this week, so I was unable to get more than a minute to get onto the computer yesterday. I really wanted to check in with everyone's threads. I'll be glad when he's back next week so I'll have time to get online from work.

Everything went great yesterday - 2 heartbeats were seen and beta/progesterone looked good. Although we're still being cautious and not telling anyone, and it's not quite my 7 week hurdle yet, this is more than we saw last time already. So, I'm going to take a step back and try not to worry as much at this point.

Thank you all so much for all of your good wishes. It really does mean the world to me. For now, I'm thinking and sending tons of positive thoughts and vibes, and sticky babydust -- because I am hoping for everyone to get their BFPs very very soon.
