no, it shouldnt. Ive been on it over a year, and mine is fine.....it can raise WBC and RBC and affect liver functions, but shouldnt touch your b/p.

Just curious Niki do you still get flu like symptoms from your shots or did you only have reactions in the begining. And so far have you had any increase in lesions since starting dmd.

Hi Michele-
I got horrible flu like symtoms the first month of my shots- then someone recommended I try taking Aleve (I had been taking 2 tylenol). The flu like symtoms stopped completely by taking one aleve 1/2 hour prior to my shot...
Then, about 4 months into taking it, I accidentally forgot to take the Aleve- I was in Mexico, came in to get dressed for dinner, decided to do my shot real quick and half way thru dinner remembered I hadnt taken anything Pre-Shot...guess what? Nothing happened. No side effects...ever since then, I dont take anything, unless Im having a really bad day and dont feel well to begin with, then, Ill still take one aleve..
The good news is I had a MRI after 6 months on the Rebif, again at 1 year, and another one just last week- NO NEW LESIONS! Im a true believer in Rebif..

does that help?

Duke,

welcome to the forum,I have been on rebif for 11 months and have had great results with it.

I was fortunate not to have any side effects, nor had it raised my BP.

Does your BP raise when you do your shots or has it raised since you started Rebif?
