I have had an ongoing issue with one of my thumbnails. it has a ridge right down the center of the nail, and the skin under the ridge is darker (red) and now it is starting to be sore in that area. Any ideas?

It is more than likely a Nail Melanoma that has developed in the Matrix. You need to see your doctor or dermatologist as it could be cancerous.
