It has been 8 months since I broke my hip. I am still in pain level of pain 8, the pain also traveled up to my lower back. My lower constantly is hurting. level 8 pain. I am so frustrated, My life has changed, I was able to do everything now I am so limited. I am concerned I will have a disability for the rest of my life. I am only 50 and did everything...now I can't....How do I prove to be partial disabled?

i know for my mom(she broke her hip in 3 spots) at 71, it took her about a year to get off the cane or to stop seeing the doctor for it.
she was no longer to scrub the floors on her hands and knees like she liked too(old timer) or mess in the yard like she wanted. I think to afraid she would break it again. She couldnt walk around for very long, but she had also had lung surgery the yr before and they had to remove a lung. So I did most of her shopping.
She could move around and such, it was just limited, she recovered good considering she never went for therapy or anything.(out of the hospital) they wanted her too.

i dont know about partial disability, but im sure you can prove limited movement....im sure someone on here can help you with that answer.
i just know from my experience with my mom. So i dont know if you will always be the "same" as before, maybe your doctor would know something.
I just know my mom wasnt laid up or anything, after the stuff healed. Although it hurt her all the time.

Good luck to you!
