Can a cancer survivor take HGH, since she was told to stop Premerin.
Her cancer was been fed by harmone such as this.

No, absolutely not!! HGH will cause a tumor to grow, working via the same methods it helps healthy people heal from injuries or surgery. Hopefully your friend is on bio-identical HRT by now unless it's contraindicated if she had breast or ovarian cancer.

The topically applied creams are much safer than oral synthetic steroids as the liver is bypassed.

GailH,

Hormone Replacement Therapy is safe for the vast majority of women who take it under a doctor's regular care. BUT there are people who should definitely not even think about taking hormones -- and people with cancer are in that high-risk group. If I had ever had cancer, or had a close family member with cancer, I would not take any form of hormones, regardless of whether the hormones were administered via pills or a patch or cream. And for this high-risk group of people, it is irrelevant whether the hormones are bio-identical or not. I would advise your friend to avoid any form of hormones. This would be the advise of most doctors.
