Hi everyone. This is my first thread, I actually just joined recently! I've been going through a lot of the threads and want to pass my support on to everyone here. IBS is not an easy thing to live with and it seems like the people I know that don't have it think I'm just complaining for the sake of it!
I've been through all the tests and tried several different things for treatment. I've changed my eating habits, taken yoga to reduce stress (this is supposed to help a little?!), even gone through the tests more then once to get accurate results and second, third, sixth opinions....all in an effort to be able to live comfortably.
I asked my doctor about natural alternatives and didn't get a very good feedback, there seems to be a stigma with most doctors and herbal products....so I went to a homeopathic doctor and he recommended a product called Iberogast. It took me a while to get my hands on it, the drug store ended up ordering it in for me from their supplier and I wasn't too thrilled about the price but it seems to be working. It tastes like CRAP and i have to take it three times a day, but there is a difference in the amount of pain that I suffer from. It's been about 3 weeks now and as long as I stick to the diet that works for me, it helps.
Please let me know if any of you have tried this product and if it's working for you. I'd also like to hear about any natural products that might be working for someone else.
Thanks for all the support. :)
