Hey Everyone,
Quick Medical Summary: I have Graves/ Hyperthyroid and take Levothyroxine, Tapazole, HCTZ, and Toprol XL.
I was diagnised with HBP, fast heart rate, app 2 years before my Graves diagnoses.
I haven't taken my BP meds today (just picked them up from the drugstore).
I have been extremely tired today so I checked my BP. It was 118/48 with a pulse of 62.
I just checked again and it is 115/47 with a pulse of 64.
Couple of Questions ? Should I be concerned with the bottom number ?
Since it's late should I just take my BP med's in the morning ?
I will give my doctor a call in the morning.
Thanks

You should call the Dr. on call for the practice or go to the ER. Are you sure your b/p monitor is correct ? I had a diastolic of 40 plus once after having a local anesthetic for dental work. I cut my b/p med dose in half & tried to get some food down. I'm afraid you might get withdrawal if you cut it out completely. You could eat a dinner with some fat to delay stomach emptying so that the drug doesn't get into the blood all at once. Have some caffeine to raise the diastolic. Best thing is to get a Dr's advice. Let us know what happens so we can all learn. Fam
