:angel:Just wondering... has anyone here weaned themselves off of cigs? if so how long did it take you? You see I used to smoke a pack and a half a day that was about 1 1/2 yrs ago, then went to a pack, then 10 and so now, then left my cigs home, now i only have a smoke when i get home from work, and before bed, sometimes more on weekends. I know this site is for people who have quit and CONGRATS! but I havent quit yet. Also wondering and the answer i always get is... smoking isnt good at all for you--- i know this. But if someone smokes 2 to 3 a day as opposed to someone who smokes 10 or more are the health risks still the same??? Oh good news I have noticed since I have been weaning myself, when i lite up I dont smoke the whole cig!! Good sign for me. Anyway good luck to all!!!

Congrats. I have smoked a pack to two a day for over 20 years. I am doing the weaning off program myself, as I have tried all the other stuff. Recent health concerns made me decide to really try it. I went to 10 cigs a day for three weeks, and today I am starting 5 a day for three weeks. ( i picked 3 weeks because I heard it took that long to make or break a habit) I have one more cig left for the night, and I am a little nervous, but that just means I have only smoked 4 all day. I must say I am a little jittery but pretty confident. Good luck, and don't be too hard on yourself. Again, congrats!
