I have had this mole all my life on my neck. Its completely circular and raised. However, it started to hurt a few weeks ago and got all scabby. I left it alone and it never really healed. Yesterday I picked it and now its really sore and it looks really raw and nasty. What could this be? I am only 21 and I dont tan, but I am really pale with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Did you notice that a couple of weeks ago that you might have chafed it with a shirt or zipper? I used to have that happen when I was taking off a shirt or the shirt had a collar that chafed the mole on my neck. I got them removed beause they bothered me. It sounds like you need to see your prmary physcian or a dermatologist. I would leave it alone, but definitely have it looked at. Having a mole removed is a minor procedure, I have had it done 3 times. I actually have an appt. next Fri to have 7 taken off. I am going to be sore after, but it will be worth it.
Good luck and I hope I helped.

I dont remember hurting it. My mom had the exact same mole in the exact same spot and she used to catch it with her nail whenever she would brush her hair back, but mine has never bothered me. In fact its kinda cute and I get compliments on it, go figure. I was just worried it might be something more serious, but if it doesnt sound like it then I guess I am just a worrywart

See a doctor right away. One of the guidelines for skin lesions, is that anytime a raised skin lesion changes in symmetry or color, or doesn't heal, one needs to become suspicious.
