My daughter has serious IBS and the medical doctors are at wits end on how to treat her. She has been in and out of the hospital repeatedly and drastically lost weight. Nothing they have tried has worked. They just mentioned a new procedure to her and we are trying to get some feedback from anyone who has had it or knows about it. They want to implant a device in her spinal area with electrodes to control her pain and they say it will also slow down the diarrhea symptoms. Has anyone on here heard of this procedure for IBS? I have seen something similar used for pain control in the back, but not for IBS. Thanks, appreciate any and all info.
