Hi All
I am wondering, I am 23 years old and having intermittant funny heart beats from 14 -15 years old are these palpitations they feel like as if the blood flows the wrong way a little and the heart is trying to correct it and feel it beat in the chest, without putting my hands on it.
I suffer from Treacher Collins syndrome as well.
Symptoms of these beats
Minor ones
Feel it beat in the chest for a long while but not constantly.
Everytime I notice it beat it makes the breathing jump sort of thing but I don't have trouble with this.
But no other really symptoms occurs that I notice.
The nasty ones
These don't come on as much as minor ones do ever since that young age I only had 3 nasty ones.
1. While in bed, it woke me
2. While ringing church bells - had to give it up anyway due to epilepsy.
3. While at college sitting down in a lesson, no one seemed to noticed.
Symptoms
Constant funny heartbeats as described above for a few seconds or more.
Trouble breathing but I think it was fast.
I felt frightened while this was going on, especially ringing bells.
After it was over, my heart would beat fast but regularly and normal.
I think I was shaking a little last time.
I didn't notice any pain or dizziness or other symptoms
I spoke to someone on the net and she thought I could have Mitral Valve Prolapse.
It is more common in women than men, I am a man.
Does sneezing trigger minor palpitations.
I had a couple funny beats after sneezing at work and didn't happen anymore after that, then ended holding my hand on the chest where the heart is to feel for more palpitations while sweeping the floor in the kitchen until a load of girls came in to get something to eat. I didn’t want the girls seeing me like this or they will ask me too many questions as they already know I am epileptic.
