View Full Version : Numbness

I have been having problems with numbness in my extremities. It usually happens when I put any pressure on my limbs while sitting or laying down (especially at night in bed) but also sometimes when I have an arm or wrist bent. Example: I could have my arm bent at the elbow holding the telephone to my ear and my forearm will "fall asleep". I am a 38 year old female with a four month old baby (two other kids too). I had an emergency hystorectomy due to hemmorrage following childbirth when I had to be given 6 blood transfusions for loss of blood. I have a history of palpitations, always thought of as anxiety attacks. I do have PVC's and sometimes I notice a vibrating feeling in my chest and body. My cholesterol and tryglycerides have been high in the past and I am waiting on results for a recent blood test as well as a neck catscan. I am rather anxious and tense quite often and when tired find that noises seem very loud etc. I am not overweight, do not smoke, and I drink moderately. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

I also wanted to add that the numbness I speak about happens to everyone from time to time but usually takes more pressure or a longer amount of time. This is happening to me a lot.
