I've been taking Metformin (switched to Glucophage) since the summer, and still haven't had a period! I am even on blood thinners!

Has anyone else had this problem? I feel like I'm alone on this one :(

yes i can relate. i also get very bad side effects of diahreea 10 times a day with metformin or glugophage. i tried both. i even take synthroid for my thyroid. my periods come eevry 3 months and last for a month when i get them. insane. i also have pcos and insulin resistance. I can totally relate to how you feel. What i am thinking is maybe we both need a higher dose of it.. I am not sure.

I have been on met. on and off again for about 4 years and have never got a period from it either. I have to take provera to have a period, so you're not alone!!!

Thanks for your response! It's nice to know I'm not the only one :)

I have never had side effects (besides feeling a huge pill sit in my stomach) from Metformin or Glucophage. No diarrhea or anything... I actually like Glucophage better because it makes me less bloated (at least I think so).

How much are you taking? I am on 2000 total per day, two doses of 1000. I think there's a max you can take per day (like 2500) but maybe I'm wrong.
