I Was Just Wondering, I Recently Bought Vitex And Started Using It For A Month. My Period Was A Week Late And When I Finally Got It, I Only Had It For 3 Days. Im Not Really Complaining Because I Already Have Endometriosis, But I Want To Know If That Is Normal? Should I Be Having Shorter Periods And Is That A Good Or Bad Thing?

Ambyr25, why did you start taking vitex in the first place. I'm on my 7th day of it. I'm wanting to have a period. I've heard it will shorten you periods.

I started taking it for a couple of reasons. One of them was to regulate my period and help me ovulate on time. My periods are never regular and i can never tell when my period is going to come, it is not regular. I also started taking it in the hope's that I will become pregnant. I have had unprotected sex for 3 years and Im afraid I can not have kids. I have endometriosis but my doctor says i can still have children. I have heard that alot of people have become succesfull with this product and was hoping that I will to. My first period that I had only lasted about 3 days and my cramps were not as bad. I just hope that this really does work, and hope it works for you as well. Keep me posted!

I took vitex a few years ago because I was not having a regular period at all. I would barely start and when I did it was every few months and even that was very light. Anyway, I started taking vitex and it took a long time, like, a couple of months but, it started working.
For me, it was a combination of starting to eat right, getting exercise, taking care of myself and taking vitamins and herbs that have helped my overall problem.
I think it's just something that takes time. Also, I've taken the herb "rue" in liquid form. That stuff totally makes you start your period but, it is NOT safe to take if there is a chance you may be pregnant.
