After months of lower abdominal pain and a small (2.5cm) hemorrhagic cyst found - I was put on loestrin and told to wait for a repeat u/s.

I've been trying to note a pattern and the pain has become fewer and far between the last two month (was a couple times a week, now is a couple times a month). I guess I'm getting better?

I am wondering how the pill works, I had thought it kept my hormone level steady until the last pill, then allowed my body to have a period. I am 3 pills away from my period and today I am having pain so bad I'm crying. It's been a while since I've had pain this bad, although I've had some that I'd call uncomfortable.

On the pill is my body still changing monthly/causing the pain? Is it from the cyst or something else? I was unable to get my U/S at 6 weeks (flight canceled and I was out of town an extra day) and they couldn't get me in for three more weeks! I was doing OK dealing with the occasional pains but today I could just die.
