Do you take it with food? If it is still upsetting your stomach with a full stomach than I would ask the doc for some anti nausea meds to go along with it. You can cut them in half which worked for me. The whole pill caused me to get very sleepy. And if you do both the anti nausea and percocets than you definately need to take something to combat the constipation. Hope that helps!

Sweet-
I agree with twins about taking it on a full stomach. One thing to remember though is the type of food you take it with. You want to avoid taking Percocet with greasy foods such as burger & fries. Yogurt, applesauce, crackers, peanut butter sandwich, etc. are good ideas.

This may not work for you, but my "ace in the hole" when trying to ward off nausea from meds is eating those Peanut Butter & Cheese Nab crackers. If I really need to I will also sip Ginger-Ale with the crackers, but usually, those specific crackers help 99.9% of the time for me.

Good Luck!! :)

some people just can't tolerate percocet. my dad and my sister and husband all get very ill from this med. Some people just can't take it as it makes them super nauseous. one time my husband took 2 percocets and he was deathly ill, vomiting, white as a sheet, and sick for hours. He is allergic to it as is my family members.
My sis got a full body rash from it. weird huh?
if food doesn't do the trick you may not be able to take this drug.

If all else fails, cut them in half.....But of course, you're only getting half the dose. You could spread the 1/2 dose out....say every 1.5 or 2 hours. They may just be too strong for you.

Taking with food (full stomach) is the best advice as others have already provided.

Good luck!

I know what you mean.I've always did just fine on narcotics but for some reason the percs hurt me just right under my left breast and terrible indigestion. After telling my doctor that she put me on morphine which doesnt bother me whatsoever. Not even that weird euphoria you get sometimes with pain meds.
