i've been waking up at nights.. the last two nights and i feel like i'm shaking.. like i'm cold.. only i'm not cold.. it seems difficult to take my pulse but when i find it .. seems normal ..i had been on atenolol for nearly 6 years until recently when they took me off of it because my blood pressure was too low and i kept passing out.. passed out 3 times in 3 years.. anyway.. i was wondering if this "shaking" was palpitations.

Contact your physician to see what the shakeing is all about. Palpitations, 'skipped heart beats', aka premature ventricular contractions, will usually be felt in the chest. You will feel your heart 'skip' a beat. In all actuallity, your lower heart contracts when its not supposed to. Then your heart stops for a brief period (less than 1 second), and resets itself to its original rhythm. Thus the sensation of a skipped heart beat is felt.
