Can anyone explain to me in layman's terms what a calcium channel blocker is and how it works in relation to your blood pressure?
Thanks to anyone who responds.

Hi Barbara, :)
your doctor should have provided this information. It is available from many different sources. You don't need to look very hard. Ask your pharmacist for a drug information sheet for a specific calcium channel blocker. He'll be happy to print one out for you. The information contained within should be easy to uderstand as it is written for general population.
