View Full Version : Dad...What's wrong???

Hi all,
My dad has to take blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine. In the past he had some blockages as well. As of late, his right calf has been cramping up. When he tells me everything is fine, I notice he limps. He is the kind of person who will tell you he is fine right in the middle of a heart attack!! I was wondering if a constant cramp in the leg could be a sign of something more serious (heart related??). Thanks!!

Sounds like claudication - blockage in the artery that supplies blood to the lower extremity. Has your father been to the doctor's lately? If not, you should encourage him to visit sometime soon.
Good luck!
