Ok I have another question for you guys out there and you probably think its dumb but here goes anyway.If you have read any of my post you know I'm taking 30mg morphine er and lortab 10's for bt,well I got up this morning with a bad sore throat.It hurts to swollow,I'm wondering if it would be alot worse to swollow if I wasn't already taking something for the pain??Do you get what I'm saying.I'm wondering if my throat has been sore for a few days or something and I didn't know it cuz of the meds and now its worse so that's why I'm feeling it?Am I just being stupid?:confused:

No you are not being stupid. Your pain meds really could have masked the pain of the sore throat. I had two root canals last year and I am sure the pain was there for longer than I was feeling it. However, my meds were covering some of the pain. You probably should get a doc appt since you might have strep throat if it is that sore. I know for sure if I have a sore throat longer than 3 days and a fever that I have strep.

Don't ever think it's a dumb question. He**, I started a thread on constipation! LOL Brian is correct, we all have to be a little more concerned when we feel something acute or new, painwise. Because of the meds we take every day, things can get masked.

Thanx again,Brian.I go to the doctor tomorrow so I'll get 'em to do a strep test on me.I probably have it since my son had it twice in 6 weeks.Hope you get to feeling better soon.;)No you are not being stupid.
