Has this happened to anybody. I do have ms The other day I wanted to see what time it was. So I looked at a reular clock. It wouldn't sink into my head what time it said. I looked at the watch on my wrist same thing. I had to look at my cell phone to see what time it was. Then I understood. Is this crazy or what. I'm fine now. Sometimes I have a hard time finding words to complete my sentences. My husband will say things on certain days and I can't figure out what he's saying. It's real simple what he's said. Sassy:confused:

My cognitive problems cause me to flip words around in a sentence or regularly not be able to think of a word. That tip of my tongue thing, ya know. I also have a horrible memory. My husband calls me Dory for Finding Nemo.

I went to a neuropsychologist for cognitive skills testing in late January when my neuro became concerned at my last MRI which showed considerable brain damage.
I have trouble finding the right words sometimes and my memory is not as good, but I wasn't overly concerned. The testing confirmed my weaknesses - the neuropsych and my neuro said the findings were completely consistent with MS.

I can relate to not being able to find the right words to say. My memory is not what it used to be either. It can be so frustrating.

I have terrible cog fog at times. I either can't think of the word I want to use or things come out of my mouth flipped around. For instance....
I was looking for handicap parking and I told my son I needed to park in candyhapped.
I forget things to or where to put things. Milk in the microwave or I tell my boys to bring their laundry down and throw them in the dishwasher???
We joke about it alot but sometimes it really scares me:cool:

I've been searching this site all morning to see if anyone else is having these problems. It is really bothersome to me too. I've had MS for 12 years and never experienced these symptoms until recently. I lose my train of thought whenever I am conversating with people and forget simple words like book or shelf. I am still in school and it makes me feel like an idiot when it happens. I dread taking a speech class that I need to graduate.

Hi to all cognitively-challenged MSers.
For what it's worth, my doc has had me try a patch called Exelon and I love it! I've noticed a big difference in my ability to concentrate but everything just seems to click better. And no side effects!
Just slap it on and you're good to go.
