I have been told my husband has herpes simplex encathalitis can any ony tell me about it and how long it takes to recover.

Are you talking about herpes encephalitis? Did your doctor tell you anything about the disease or did your husband just tell you he had it?

The reason I ask is because it actually sounds pretty serious. I was reading about herpes in my microbiology book (college) and it says... "In fatal herpes encephalitits, soft, discolored lesions appear in both the gray and white matter of the brain."

This is all the book says about that but if this is the same as "encathalitis" (which I"m guessing it is) you should really research it and talk to the doctor about its risks.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I really thought you should know. I'm sorry
